Martha R. Somerville, 80 of Punxsutawney, formerly of Clearfield passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

She was born on September 5, 1936 in Clearfield the daughter of the late William S. Somerville Sr. and Bernice (Musser) Somerville.

Retired, she was employed by Goodwill Industries in DuBois.

Martha was Methodist by faith and would attend various churches within the communities she had previously lived in. She enjoyed going to camp every summer, coloring, drawing, embroidering, watching movies, animals and listening to country music.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Irene Somerville of Clearfield, three nieces: Karan (Jesse) Stiles of Clearfield, Carol (Bernard) Johnson of Clearfield, Arlene (John) Errigo of Curwensville; nine great nieces and nephews: Kenneth (Holly) Stiles of Clearfield, Daniel (Nicky) Stiles of Clearfield, Jesse (Jennifer) Stiles of Curwensville, Michael Johnson of Clearfield, Lisa (Dan) Oswalt of Curwensville, Lori Errigo of Curwensville, Ronald (Traci) Stiles of Clearfield, Sherry (Chuck) Bloom of Clearfield and Tiffney Irvin of Clearfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William S. Somerville Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 6pm on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. with Dr. Duane White officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Joy Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 4pm until the hour of service at the funeral home on Friday.
